Nine officials of the regional delegation of the telecommunications regulatory agency in the centre took oath recently at the Court of first instance in Yaoundé.
They include; Médard Bitye Bitolo ; Gustave Botouli Nguiamba ; Jeanne Takel Evina ; Reine Aimée Eyette ; Gérard Mbang Ze ; Marguerite Gaëlle Melouni Ondoua ; Meya Aboubakar ; Samuel Mevongo Ntyene and Francis Monti Mengueme.
The solemn and Judicial commitment of each of these personnel were received by Chief officials of the Court, during a very popular ceremony. The execution of this formality is part of the tasks assigned to the Agency by Act No. 2010/013 of 21 December 2010 governing electronic communications in Cameroon.
The structure is responsible for the monitoring of the activities of the operators and exploiters of the telecommunications and information and communication technologies sector.
Accordingly, and pursuant to article (74) the Agency commits sworn officers whose role is to seek, find and prosecute offences committed in electronic communications.
