According to official sources, between January and September 2014, car dealers sold 3,005 new cars in Cameroon. Cameroon Motor Industries (Camry Toyota) and Tractafric Motors remained at the top of the market with a 70.6% market share.
With 1,427 cars sold in Cameroon for the said period, which is 47.49% of the market, Camry Toyota takes a chunk of the new sector, followed by Tractafric Motors with its 23% share after selling 697 vehicles up to September 30, 2014.
Other market operators are Socada (18% of the market), Tiger Motors (6.3%), Mitcam (2.3%) and Sacam (0.93%) which sells trucks.
