Victoria Oil & Gas Plc (VOG), with thermal gas project in Logbaba Cameroon, has completed three thermal gas connections after it managed to pass under River Wouri its distribution network to connect Bonaberi, the Industrial Bank of the port city Douala.
The completion of these connections, announced December 8, was immediately followed by the connection of new customers to Bonaberi representing a "relatively low volume but an important step" for the subsidiary gas from Cameroon (GDC), said Kevin Foo, president of VOG. Petro-gas has just added the textile industry Sotex from Douala to its network, after three food industries of Bonaberi which is "an important new market for gas", stressed Mr. Foo.
"Despite the recent trend in the price of a barrel of oil, our gas remains the most economical energy solution and cleanest for the industrial sector of Douala", he noted.
The petro-gas company, listed in London, is imposed on the local market through its subsidiary gas of Cameroon (GDC) accompanying industries in their transition from heavy fuel oil to heat gas scheme.
