Man kills fiance following a brawl

Jealous lover Marcel Kalgombe, a young man of 30 years killed his girlfriend on the night of March 23 breaking March 24, 2015. Emilienne Doyidi was killed by her lover with whom she has lived as a result of a brawl in Ngaoundéré, Adamawa Region.

Very much in love at the beginning of the relationship, Marcel had become violent for some time. With this fighting spirit and a mild crisis, the couple separated before getting back together shortly afterwards.

That night, Marcel, went to visit her about half a mile from his home and she was not home. After calling her on phone, Emilienne told him she was at her mum’s place, an explanation that Marcel refuted. For him, she was in the arms of another man. Red with anger, he decided to hide outside the home of Emilienne and launch an attack on her return.

Upon her return, he attacked and started to beat her. Emilienne began shouting for help but Marcel put a piece of cloth in her mouth to avoid the neighborhood from being alerted by her cries of distress, an act which eventually led to her death a few minutes later. Aware of his act, Marcel run away.

When the report got to Chief Warrant Officer Christian Okono, Commander of the territorial brigade of Bideng he launched an arrest warrant. The police are currently searching for Marcel.

A few days later, the presumed murderer was caught in Garoua and is currently detained at Ngaoundéré. He is currently in detention in the cells of the police, waiting to be prosecuted.
