NW CRTV boss' stolen car found

Three individuals were arrested while they paraded the car in Dibombari.

The elements of the Anti-gang Unit of the Judicial Police in Douala have arrested three individuals for allegedly stealing the car of the Station Manager of the Cameroon Radio Television Bamenda on the night of October 16 to 17, 2012.

The three suspects, Idriss Mounchigam (18), Moustapha Mbombo Ngapna (23) and their driver 32-year-old Jiberou Njifenjou were apprehended on Thursday, October 18 at Dibombari in the out skirts of Douala. Informed of the presence of a suspected car in the locality, the Head of the Littoral Regional Department of the Judicial Police, Ibrahima Iya constituted a team to investigate the issue. Led by the Chief of Operations, Clement Tasse Ngoumkwa, the police hit squad then headed for Dibombari. After investing the milieu for a long time, the seasoned police investigators succeeded to capture the three suspects who were parading the car.

Upon interrogation, the thieves admitted having stolen the green-coloured Toyota Corolla car from the residence of the Station Manager of CRTV Bamenda, Freddy Eta Bessong, the night before. They equally named one of their accomplices, a certain Midou, who is on the run.

The car documents recovered from the vehicle effectively bore the name of Mr. Freddy Eta Bessong as well as his contact numbers. The three bandits are presently in custody at the Douala Judicial Police while waiting to be presented to the State Counsel.
