Following the release of new single and video "African Mama" featuring J. Martins, Cameroonian artist Museba explained to Okabol.com what the song is all about.
Andrea Museba, what's the meaning of your new song, "African Mama"?
It's a story about a young African lady who is working and hustling in local market to fulfill her dream of getting a supermarket one day.
She is going through a lot of negativity in her life, like haters trying to discourage her. But because she has faith in God, she finally succeeds and achieve her dream.
It's also a lesson for those who underestimate poor people. You never know who they can be tomorrow!
The great J.Martins is featured in the song. You are definitely in the "Naija" connection now?
Yeah, I'm glad J. Martins is on my song African Mama. I love his talent and his voice. I'm not only in Nigeria, but everywere! I even did some collaboration with Lino Versace, Singuila, Rico in Abidjan. In Dakar, Senegal, I work with a talented rapper called Nix.
We last met on stage in Douala, in December 2013. Cameroon do you love Museba?
I'm going where I'm celebrated, not tolerated.
