The film, written and produced by Cameroonian born Goretti Etchu-Egbe has been premiered in the UK.

“Infidelity”! This is an issue hardly ever spoken or heard in a marriage. But the truth is that it has a strong grip on most marriages in the society today.

UK based Cameroonian script writer, Goretti Folefa Etchu-Egbe, through her piece titled “Woman” addresses the issue of infidelity within a marriage from the point of view of all three parties involved; the wife, husband and mistress.

In the film, Goretti illustrates love, lust and betrayal from a standpoint of married couples, dating and singles.

In the 1hr- 42 minutes shooting, Manga (Joe-Richard Pook) a pediatrician, and Angoh, (Goretti) a marketing executive are living a happy but busy lifestyle of every typical married couple nowadays.

They have two children and all seems to be going well until when Manga encounters a pharmacist intruder, Rachel (Gobina Charlotte) who is fond of dating only married men.

On the other side, Manga’s best friend, Leke (Epule Jeffrey) and his very-long-term girlfriend, Mbolle (Ruth Nkweti), battle the issue of Leke’s reluctance to solidify their commitment with a marriage proposal. The dynamics of these two relationships sets the tone for ‘Woman’.

The widely discussed movie on social media was officially premiered this year in March at the Odeon Cinema Greenwich Bugsby Way, London SE10 0QJ.

The movie makes history as the first Cameroonian film to be premiered in a major UK cinema and shot on location in Cameroon (Limbe and Buea) with a Cameroonian cast and crew.

Woman will also be premiered in Houston, Texas USA, come July 16, 2016. Goretti Etchu-Egbe who is the writer and producer of Woman says the film will be premiered soon in Cameroon.
