Chantal Biya, Mani Bella and Lady Ponce at CERAC

It was a star studded affair at the 22nd General Assembly of CERAC - The Circle of Friends of Cameroon; an initiative of Cameroon's First Lady Mrs Chantal Biya created to take an active part in the development of Cameroon by delivering much needed assistance to the most vulnerable groups.

CERAC which is recognised as a public interest association comprises a diplomatic component which brings together the wives of Ambassadors and High Commissioners accredited to Cameroon and a national component comprising of government and officials from public and semi public companies, wives of members of government, elected officials etc.

Since its inception in 1995, CERAC has been working throughout the country, paying visits to patients, building schools to ensure the education of young Cameroonians, making donations to various hospitals and schools.

At the gathering a few days ago, the First Lady popularly known as Mama Chantou got the Pala Pala infection as she was surrounded by celebrities such as the eccentric Mani Bella, muna sawa Dora Decca and the queen of bikutsi Lady Ponce.
