Cinema - Cameroonian Film in Premiere

A new Cameroonian film, "I am an American" produced by Cameroonian-born Blaise Christian Sitchet's Prestige International Film Productions will make its debut in a premiere on August 24th in Capital Hilton Hotel in Washington D.C., United States of America, USA.

Expected to be crowd-pulling film, "I am an American" tells the story of a man's journey and determination to secure a better future for he and his wife.

It is the story of a Cameroonian man, Blaise who immigrates to the USA to build a solid foundation for a better life. Eli, his wife who is left behind in Cameroon waits patiently to be reunited with her husband who toils to make his wife join him. Eventually, Eli successfully arrives in the USA. It is a joyous reunion for both especially Blaise who thinks of immediately starting a family. Surprisingly, Eli has other priorities than starting a family. Completing her education is her number one goal. This causes friction between Eli and husband. Growing suspicions from Blaise about his wife's real intentions in the US, usher both into a whirlpool of misunderstanding and confusion. Will their relationship withstand the chaos?

"I am an American" touches on issues of identity, trust and faith not unfamiliar with several immigrants. It stars Blaise Christian Sitchet and Hawa Kualamah, amongst others. It is directed by Master June Daguiso. The producer of the film, Blaise Christian Sitchet was born in Boula, Cameroon. His training in banking did not stop him from exploring other talents in drawing, painting, music and film production.

Blaise created the production company, Prestige International Film Productions with the goal of producing quality films and music. His second film "Coming from Africa" is already in pre-production.
