Eb Kreations, has launched the toghu print for their 2015 Contri Collection.

This was inspired by the prestigious Toghu design of the Highlands people of Western Cameroon and willing to divert from the usual West African fabrics.

Ebangha Nkwanyuo, the Creative Director of EB Kreations was filled by the burden to do a proudly Cameroonian ready to wear collection called 'Contri'.

“The Toghu is our local Cameroonian design with a rich illustration of the gong and other cultural symbols on the print,” Ebangha explained.

According to Ebangha, The "contri closs" [country clothes] as locally known has been poorly represented in my country. Young people will say it’s for the old people. The bourgeoisie North Westerners use it to portray luxury and royalty but I believe it’s part of our identity as Cameroonians and we should all toe the line and identify ourselves with it.”

"This is a proudly Cameroonian collection in which I designed simple ready to wear pieces fused with a modern elegance, to cut across all age groups. With the right attitude, these outfits can be worn to work, cocktails, church and casual visits," she added.
