Eliane Ngandeu Edou elected Miss Tourism 2014

Eliane Ngandeu Edou has been crowned Miss Tourism 2014.

The event was organised as part of commemorations to mark World Tourism Day.

The day was organised under the theme “Tourism and Community Development”.

The ceremony took place on Saturday 27th September in the presence of the Secretary General of the Ministry of Tourism, Angeline Florence Ngomo and other top officials of the Ministry.

The 1.75 metre-tall Eliane Ngandeu who hails from the West region of Cameroon is an Environmental Science student at the University of Buea.

The competition brought together ten contestants from the ten regions of Cameroon.

It included a parade in three different attires: an official oufit, traditional regalia and swimsuit.

The fourth appearance on stage was aimed at getting the oral expression of each contestant.

After proclaimed winner, Eliane Ngandeu stated her willingness to positively represent Cameroon and affirmed that her level of bilingualism is worked in her favour.

Sirri Nkwente Zuhwombo and Josephine Nlonza Messi were first and second runners-up respectively.
