American soul singer Erykah Badu is from Cameroon. Thanks to a profound research team known as the Africa Ancestry, the Grammy winner discovered her mother's lineage originated from the Grassland region of the Western Cameroon known as the Bamileke Community.
Erykah who is a native from Oklahoma, USA says she was never so concerned about where she was from but was very contented being who she is. after finding out she is a Bamileke native, the singer said: "It changes a lot of thinks and my idea of my history. Now, i will want to go to Cameroon and see my place, the dance and the grass... I believe there's an important thing I'm to do there..."
