Fabian Mühlthaler, the new Director of the institute, was in the Ministry of Arts and Culture on April 13, 2016.
The Minister of Arts and Culture, Narcisse Mouelle Kombi, on April 13, 2016, received Fabian Mühlthaler, the new Director of the Goethe Institute in Cameroon. Speaking to journalists after, Fabian Mühlthaler said the visit was to introduce himself to the Minister after his arrival in Cameroon, noting that the Ministry of Arts and Culture was the most important partner to the Goethe Institute.
Fabian Mühlthaler noted that there has been an excellent collaboration between the two sides in the past. He said his institute’s priorities were always to create new links between Cameroonian and German cultures, as the institute supports official and local independent cultural actors.
Fabian Mühlthaler expressed hope that in future, the Ministry of Arts and Culture will support them in the same way they did in the past. The Director of Goethe Institute described “Ecrans Noirs” as the biggest film festival in Cameroon, restating that the continuous support of his institute and the Ministry of Arts and Culture.
