I am not familiar with Cameroon music industry - Inorie Fotso

Inorie Fotso Inorie Fotso

She is the Daughter of one of Central Africa’s richest men. She is a singer, an entrepreneur, an actress, and a philanthropist.

We had an exclusive interview with Inorie Fotso. Read the excerpts Below.

KamerVibe: Who is Inorie Fotso?

Inorie: Inorie is a God fearing lady with highly ambitious goals and a strong determination to achieve the highest aim. She believes in the beauty of her dreams as she is gradually taking the steps to achieve them.

KamerVibe: How was growing up like?

Inorie: It is amazing to me that most of the things I remember from my childhood make me smile and happy. My childhood was unlike any other besides the wealth part.

We are 6 children of the same mother, and that made my life crowded and loud. Don’t get me wrong, growing up with so many means you always have a playmate, and there is always something interesting going on in the house.

That made it fun and memorable! I was raised by both parents but, mostly by my mother considering my father daily and multiple duties/functions. I was blessed with nearly everything a child could hope and ask for! Just to name a few: gifts, toys, attention from siblings/parents, family vacations abroad, house helps, keepers, drivers & more. The only thing that I lacked was freedom. My parents and my elder brother were very protective and strict when it came to other distractions and the type of people we acquainted with. Aside above statement, it was all amazing and fun.

Kamervibe: It must have been fun then (laughs). Why did you decide to be an entertainer?

Inorie: Well, I have always dreamt of doing “Art”. My beginnings literally started since childhood. I have always cultivated that insatiable passion for acting, singing, modeling etc. I have now decided to pursue my dream. Now, here I am walking on my journey with a faithful heart.

Kamervibe: We wish you luck with that. Do you enjoy your Job?

Inorie: I will call it a passion first rather than a job being that I have yet to reach my full potential. It will become a job when I start reaping benefits from it financial wise.

KamerVibe: What has been your greatest challenge so far?

Inorie: To me, Life itself is a challenge. Challenges are the only cause which is there to accelerate our potential and efficiency. Each day we come across different problems, resolve it and learn from it.

KamerVibe: Being the daughter of one of Cameroons richest men, did you face any difficulties at the early stage of your career?

Inorie: If you’re trying to achieve success, there will always be roadblocks, haters, naysayers and all the negativity that come with it. I’ve had them; we all did and still do regardless of our family background. It all comes with the territory! Obstacles don’t have to stop you. Well, they can’t stop me! You just have to figure out how to climb it, go through it or walk around it.

KamerVibe: How can you rate the Cameroonian music industry now following the emergence of Stanley Enow and Jovi, just to name a few?

Inorie: I am afraid that I am not up to date with the Cameroonian entertainment industry news!

KamerVibe: Hmm Ok. Is there any Cameroonian artiste you would like to work with?

Inorie: Sure, why not! They are all talented. It will be my pleasure too! but right now Senegal is on the map as something is cooking up. With that said, information on that subject will unveil soon.

Kamervibe: Are you single, Married or ready to mingle?

Inorie: I am single by choice for now, not looking though (lol). Furthermore, It is not an open invitation either as I have my criteria of choice. I know what I want and what I want wants me too!

KamerVibe: What attracts you to a man?

Inorie: If I have to enumerate a very important criteria that I idealize in a man is “The Fear of God” first and second. He has to love me like his life depends on it (because it does) and last but not least “His confidence” confidence is a ‘Must’ and in addition to that ‘the sexiest accessory’ a human being can possess.

Kamervibe: Any advice for young Cameroonian girls who desire to be like you?

Inorie: We are all unique and special in our own ways. There will always be someone better, greater, smarter, prettier than us. Looks will fade, materials can be taken away, but no one can ever take away the combination of you. No one can ever replace the You that is You. So, instead of focusing on making the outside look good so that the things you hope to attract —be it attention, love, compliments, acceptance make you feel good, focus on who you truly are as a person and build a better you from the inside out.

KamerVibe: It was nice talking to you Inorie, good luck in all your endeavors.

Inorie : Always my Pleasure.
