"I am now a professional model thanks to the Annual Fashion Show"

A model with dreams, aspirations and commitment is what got her the opportunity to be part of the 7th edition of the Annual Show Fashion Week in Cameroon.

Audrey Goli is a young Ivorian who was one of the first models to appear on the runway during the 7th Annual Fashion Show Week. Here is a sneak peek of a short interaction with culturebene.

How was the week of the Annual Fashion Show Week for you?

It was really good because I loved Cameroon. The people are very hospitable. For instance, when you say that you are Ivorian, everyone gave a smile, I really loved it.

It is true that the Ivory Coast is a friendly country especially when they come across brothers and sisters from Africa, it feels good. By the way, what do you make of the stylists for the Annual Show?

To be honest, it was a great experience as it is my first big show. So that means that I'm a professional and international model. The reason being that unlike other models from Nigeria, Gabon, as well as Cameroonian models I could never cross Abidjan. It's great experience for me.

Narrate your journey as the young model you are.

I started in Abidjan with some shows and then after it there's been the casting of Annual Show I attended and thank you God I was held. So it may be that this is my first major show as a model.

Who was your favourite designer at the Annual Show?

Chouchou Lazare, Gabonese designer.

Annual Show 2014 is over, but what are your last words and future plans?

Annual Show really launched me, I would say. When I go back to Abidjan, everyone will know that I attended Annual Show which is an advantage for me. I plan to return in 2016, to participate in the Annual Show.
