Interview: All about Sama Ndango

Sama Ndango aka Mr. Fixit is one of the Cameroonian artistes who is contributing immensely to the entertainment industry. His latest single, ‘Ndango Style’ which leaves both old and young dancing has already hit over 8500 likes on sound cloud.

Sama in an interview with best-tv.net spoke about his achievements, his record label and clothing line which will be launched soon and his love for acting.

BEST TV: Tell us a little about you?

SAMA NDANGO: I am Sama Ndango, aka Mr. FixIt, the entertainer “extraordinaire”. I am also a certified Life Coach, an It Consultant, a stylist, a presenter and an Actor.

BEST TV: Why the name SAMA NDANGO?

SAMA NDANGO: I like to be real and original, that’s why I choose to go by my original Bali Names: Sama Ndango

BEST TV: Why MR. FixIt, what do you fix?

SAMA NDANGO: I am also a certified Life Coach and help bring the best out of people using music. Fix it is all about believing in yourself, having fun, being yourself and using music to program yourself for success.

BEST TV: Tell us how you got into the Entertainment industry in Africa?

SAMA NDANGO: It all started in Germany; I was ‘Mc’ing’ in night clubs for over 10 years and did shows with great artists like P. Diddy, Akon, Dbanj etc. I moved over to London, where I got introduced to the Nigerian music scene. I then decided to put my 100% into music and that’s what made me spend a lot of time in Cameroon doing music.

BEST TV: Your last mega Hit is ‘Makandi’, what were you talking about?

SAMA NDANGO: The Makandi hit song is about fun and joy. Everybody dances by shaking their Makandi and that’s what I am reminding them to do. Life is full of stress and most often we forget to “Bembelebambalabam – shake di Makandi, lol”

BEST TV: What are your dreams and aspirations in life?

SAMA NDANGO: I am looking forward to entertaining the world with FixIt Music, a new record label that is gradually establishing itself in Cameroon. We are launching the FixIt Clothing line and our singing competition next year as well.

BEST TV: Would you like to pursue a career in Movie industry? And what will be your role?

SAMA NDANGO: I really love acting; I have done a few movies before. I am focusing on music at the moment but I will accept any exciting role any day.

BEST TV: What do you think about the Cameroon Entertainment Industry, and what can you do to make it grow more?

SAMA NDANGO: I think the industry is growing rapidly. A lot of things have really changed, as compared to 2010, when I first came to Cameroon. We have launched the FixIt Music record label, where, we will be scouting and promoting young artists and we will soon be organizing local and international concerts to boost the industry and created stars.

BEST TV: Tell us about WEST DON you have always collaborated with him, how is your friendship?

SAMA NDANGO: West Don is a good friend, a great guy, a superb artist and on his way to becoming a household name. He knows how to do hit songs and is much focused as well. I like his music a lot.

BEST TV: You also like working with SYNDY EMADE and KELLY BLAISE are they the best in the south west?

SAMA NDANGO: Syndy is a very good friend to me, she is good at what she does and I always motivate her whenever I can. She has a great future and there is a lot more to discover about her. Watch out for Syndy, trust me. Kelly Blaise is also one of the best Photographers in Buea. He is very creative and also a good singer.

BEST TV: Did you have upcoming project like the FIX IT SHOW?

SAMA NDANGO: We are rebranding the FixIt Show into the FixIt Concert and it shall be launched any time from now.

BEST TV: You are also a stylist how far have you gone with your creations?

SAMA NDANGO: Yeah, styling is one my most treasured talents. We have a collection already and we are launching it next year.

BEST TV: to end this interview what are your final words to the youth?

SAMA NDANGO: Be humble, believe in yourself, work together and always give your 200% in whatever you are doing. Thank you so much for this interview and God bless Cameroon.
