The Minister of Arts and Culture, Professor Narcisse Mouelle Kombi, granted audience to the Israeli Ambassador to Cameroon, H.E. Ran Gidor, on Wednesday June 22, 2016 in his cabinet. Speaking to journalists after the audience, the diplomat said he had heard a lot about Cameroonian culture and that Cameroonian music is considered to be the best in Africa.

He said he and the minister discussed some ideas and possibilities of cooperation in the field of arts and culture between the two countries, notably the upcoming International Arts and Culture Festival that the Ministry of Arts and Culture will organise in November 2016 in Yaounde. He said he will use this opportunity to promote some of the ideas he discussed with the minister so as to bring Israeli artists to participate in the festival. This, according to him, will help promote deeper and richer cultural cooperation between artistes of the two countries.
