Jehf Biyeri Visits Cameroon

The Congolese musician is on a promotion visit for his maxi single titled "Munsinsa."

Though he is a Congolese, he has made of Cameroon his second home. Jehf Biyeri is on a 10-day visit in Cameroon's economic capital to present his new born "baby." This refers to the promotion of his maxi audio single titled "Munsinsa", programmed for official release on December 21, 2013 in Pointe Noire, Congo Brazzaville.

The title translated as "a little effort", announces the artist's come-back on the musical scene after eight years of absence. Formerly a member of a group called "Racines" (Roots) that hit the waves in Congo from 1997 to 2002, he had consecrated the past few years to his other passion: theatre.

His presence in Douala has two main objectives. The first reason is to present to music lovers the lead track of his upcoming album, "Mba," meaning fire. The nine-track rap production centres on themes like politics, love, daily realities, and hard work, amongst others; voiced in tracks like "Shaadeh", "Bué", "Mupata". He equally envisages a remix of the very first song written and played by his former group, titled in French "l'histoire du style". The second motive is volunteering in the training of local amateurs practising in theatre act.

The album is enriched with featuring from other renowned artists like Freddy Massamba and an American Disc Jocker, Set Scharp. Singing in French and local languages like his native "Sundi" dialect, the artiste presents a successful blend of hip hop, rumba, coupé décalé and typical African folkloric rhythms. This is in a bid to unite both the younger and older generations to share music on a common ground with melodies they can easily identify with.
