Jovi 'clocks' 31 today

The trendsetter of HiP Hop in Cameroon and boss of NewBell Music, Jovi, has 'clocked' 31 years on planet earth today.

Jovi has one way or the other impacted in the lives as well as supported many artistes who are doing well in the music industry. Some of them include Reniss, Ambe, Kiloh, Pascal, Rchl, Shey, Tata, Tilla, among others.

Born and raised in Douala in 1983, Jovi gained national attention when he released his hit video “Don 4 Kwat” in 2012. With origins in the North West province, Jovi is the first rap artist in Cameroon to rap in Pidgin English.

Jovi’s latest videos, “Big Vulture” (2015), and “Et P8 Koi” (2014), have been in heavy rotation on Trace Urban throughout Africa and Europe. His video “CASH” (2014) was also featured on MTV Base. His latest single Zélé is also doing very well.

His music has been featured on the BBC, Jeune Afrique, okayafrica.com, miabaga.com, jewanda-magazine.com, notjustokay.com, and more.
