The parody mogul, Fingon Tralala was on ‘Tam Tam’s’ Weekend Edition Sunday, November 16 and took the opportunity to clear the air about stealing Coco and Mani’s songs.
Fingon lamented on the attitude of some Cameroonian as being evil said he has a good relationship with Coco and Mani. Here is how the interview went.
Q: You are always full of energy and you have been on the Tam Tam weekend several times.
A: Well I have always followed Tam Tam since my early youth and it is really fun to have been counted among its guests. For the rest, I was just doing my job. Fingon has obviously been the same as always, nothing has changed, except the rumours and gossip.
Q: Let's talk about the titles parodied by you from Coco Silver and Bella Mani. Rumour has it that these artistes would not be pleased that you have taken their songs. What is your say on this?
A: You know, people are like that and you cannot change anything. Cameroonians always have something to say. They previously said Fingon was crazy. I get along very well with Mani and Coco and I have done what I usually do, parody songs. I have done it for years without any instance to encroach the territory of anyone. You will never see me claim the rights of X or Y as I would have propelled using my parody. So people want to meddle in what does not concern them and want to see problems happen everywhere, but I feel sorry for them because there is nothing. You should not listen to what is being said because I never signed as the Songwriter of anything. Instead, Mani and Coco have enjoyed the parody. Too bad for those who wish for evil everywhere.
Q: You initially criticized the first football team but now you praise them more than ever. Any reasons for your actions?
A: This is normal. You know, the team involved people who disrupted the organization and attacked the leaders. There is a new team that has taken shape and is partly young. We are content with what it offers when it comes to football and the results are evident. So I paid honor to them in a song.
Q: Do you have any project in the pipeline?
A: Yes, I would like to mentor young people who want to be like me. I would give them the opportunity to make themselves known. At least for those who wish to make it in what I do , and go as far as me. Otherwise, I have been on some contracts. Though some people may not know much, I spin; I spin more than a fan.
