According to Mme Babeni professionals and beginners in the field of caricature and humour will benefit from the exchange of experiences among themselves.
She made this clear during the fifteenth edition of the international Festival of caricature and humour in Yaoundé (FESCAHRY) which began Wednesday in Yaoundé under the theme: ' a life of pencil...A life of humour'.
This edition according to her highlights the 50 or so women who positively marked the political and social life of Cameroon.
According to the promoter, Léontine Babeni, participants from a dozen countries in Africa and Europe are expected on Thursday.
The advantages of this international meeting, Ms. Babeni notes that all those involved are volunteers, but they benefit from the exchange of experiences between professionals and beginners.
The 2013 edition was able re-unite those with various talent in caricature and humor to the rank which Zapiro (South Africa), Pahé (Gabon), Tayo (Great Britain/Nigeria), Pov (Mauritius Island /Madagascar), Popa Matumula (Tanzania), Taoufiq (Tunisia) alongside Retin, Malyk and Jaimes of Cameroon.
