Retro not Vintage

I’ve actually done a lot of retro shoots, particularly enjoy them because they allow me to reach a certain level of creativity and because of the many times I’ve worked around doing Retro, I’ve noticed many people don’t really know the difference between Retro and Vintage.

Retro, style speaking especially, is like an imitation of a fashion trend from a couple of years back, it could be a Style that has become fashionable again.

Vintage is the actual clothing from those couple of years back. See the difference? So Retro items don’t have to be old, they can be brand new infact but will have to be made in the Style of the time they are trying to replicate.

So now that that’s settled, this is a Retro shoot.

The looks are dapper with emphasis on the details, especially the Hats! And the suspenders, they’re so comfortable, but I don’t know why I keep hearing otherwise.

Kept the tones as tuned down as possible, I’m not a fan of overly shouty colours all over the place especially for shoots like this.
