The chilling Story of Koumate Monique and her babies has been in everyone's heart and lips ever since it occurred. Most people took to social media to expressed digust towards Laquintinie and support for Monique and her babies. Cameroonian actress Sende Bende however, has a more different outlook on the story/scandal. This is what she wrote on her Facebook page...
Cameroonians!! You amaze me. Do u Facebookers watch national news? Someone wakes up early in the morning with "hearsay information" and in a blink of an eye it goes viral. Now first and foremost Monique got to Laquintini dead. The first hospital she visited insisted they run a few tests on her b4 they can prescribe treatment because it was the first time she was visiting their hospital which to me was professional enough.
It should be noted that, that was also the first time she was going to a hospital throughout her pregnancy which to me is madness and the height of negligence. She was actually admitted in that hospital but her family members discharged her. The nurse in charge of that hospital said on the news that the woman was dead before they left for Laquintini. The relatives pleaded that the babies should be saved but she explained to them that if the mother is already dead then the babies are dead as well. But they insisted that was when she told them to go to Laquintini.
People attest that they saw the family members crying while leaving that clinic. It's true that negligence with regards to human life is alarming in Laquintini but can someone tell me what life was neglected. Can a fetus survive in the womb of its dead mother? How can it breathe when the main oxygen source has already shutdown? If the so call family members loved her or those poor innocent babies they would have made sure she goes for antenatal appointments which is almost free.
Like Steph rightly asked where is the father of this woman? Hate me for saying this but I'm sick and tired of this quest for cheap popularity on Facebook.
