Stanley Enow Eyes MTV Music Awards

The Cameroon rap star whose hit, “Hein Pere” won him multiple awards and also brought him to the limelight, was nominated for the MTV Africa Music Award in the Best New Act category for 2014.

Since his nomination on April 15, voting campaigns have been going on in other to canvass support for the Cameroonian star. On his facebook page, campaign waves have been felt as far as Kingston, Jamaica with fellow artist Nyanda of the group "Brick N Lace" calling for all to vote the Cameroonian star boy.

He will be going head to head with Nigeria's Burna Boy and Phyno, South Africa's Uhuru and Heavy K also in the same category (Best Act).

It should be recalled that, the Cameroon music industry witnessed Enow in 2013 when the ‘Bayangi Boy’ Stanley Enow dropped a South-side patterned club-banger titled ‘Hein Pere’.‘Hein Pere’ rapidly proliferated across online platforms registering the highest number of downloads, Youtube views, and an endorsement by internationally acclaimed rapper 50 Cent. Since then, his song has become a street anthem and parlance. Also, his music fans also littered the streets of Cameroon with ‘ON EST HIGH PERE’ t-shirts and while his video topped the charts on Trace Urban for over a month.

After his trip to France in which he started on a programme with Cameroonian TV presenter, Nadine Patricia, he thanked his fans for their continuous support. While in Paris, he was a guest on the programme "Tantine" show on Télésud hosted by Nadine Patricia. While on the programme, Cameroon's Hein Père Starboy Stanley Enow thanked his fans for the votes following his MTV Africa Music Award nomination as Best New Act.

He is the first Cameroonian artist to be recognized by MAMA and he clinched two awards last December at the Cameroon Sonnah Awards.

Blessed with Catchy lyrics, urban Afro mixture, stage beast, good flow and impeccable charisma, fans across the world will be hoping to see that he wins the award come June, 2014.

Voting for the MTV Africa Music Awards has been opened from April 16 and will close on June 4, 2014 midnight. The winners will be known on June 7 in Durban, South Africa
