Style is a distinctive appearance that normally portrays a person’s persona. Most times a person’s style comes depending on the mood.
Having a sense of style makes a person exceptional. An individual with a great sense of style dares to express in a way that is one of a kind yet comfortable.
However, most people are of the perception that style is the same as fashion. But No, it’s not! Fashion is a trend and seasonal while style is more like a personal thing and is always part of the individual.
Then again style expert cum business leader, Jill Chivers said “while fashion is the relationship to the external and distracts, Style is the relationship to the internal and connects”.
Fashion is basically concerned about what’s out there. We get distracted from what suits us and end up getting lost of our identity. Style gives us that freedom to explore. To be ourselves and it matches the sense of who we are. In short style brings our attention directly to ourselves.
This does not mean fashion trends are not significant. All it means is that you can use what is in vogue to create your own style. For instance an oldies outfit paired with a trendy outfit. It all depends on you and your taste. But if you are the type that like to follow trends fair enough.
