The magic of high-low dresses

The High-low dress is an everyday style with the asymmetry of the hemline giving this design an edgy uniqueness.

Even though it has a full circle hem, the length varies from short in front to long at the back. The good thing about this fashion trend is that, it’s flattering on all body types.

The style became popular in the Victorian era dresses and formal gowns, when the hem style became known as the "fishtail". Nonetheless, it can be worn both casually and formally so you get a lot of use out of it.

On the casual side, you can wear the dress with a pair of sandals or slippers. You are good to go with a handbag when running errands, going to the market or a meet up with family or friends for lunch.

High-low dresses when worn for formal events makes that swift look from casual to formal stunning. When worn with heels and a clutch for a dinner date for instance makes you look classy and sophisticated. It’s the perfect tease because you can show off a bit of skin and your shoes without showing everything else.

On the other hand, this style does not often call for too many accessories; dangling earrings or simple studs would work the magic depending on the hairstyle.
