There’s nothing more sacred than my body - Suzy the Untouchable

Suzy the ‘Untouchable’ was present with Teeyah, Nicole Mara and Fingon Tralala on the weekend edition of CRTV’s ‘Tam Tam’. She spoke on her closeness with Nicole Mara, her love for music and the release of her album ‘The Awakening’, in 2015.

Interview: Q: How are you doing? You rarely are heard of lately.

A: (Laughs) First of all hello culturebene. Okay, I am well, and it shows.

Q: It is said that you are working on something with the artiste Nicole Mara, with whom you have been seen a couple of time, can you tell us more?

A: Let’s say I occasionally accompanied a friend. I wouldn’t even say a friend because she is a sister. She supports me a lot, so when she needs me I do not hesitate to offer my help. I acknowledge that we are preparing something for my next album which is due in 2015. Nicole had wanted to bring her experience in this project.

Q: Let's talk about this famous project (your album), and thank you for the exclusive.

A: The album will bear the title ‘The Awakening’, but the title track is ‘House for Rent’. You'll understand why when the time comes. You will also find out that, it has the same theme as my previous albums which is love.

Q: So does that mean you referred to yourself in the album or it’s a story about someone else?

A: Of course, I already talked about myself but it is about women in general. You know, the most important thing to me is my body so I sell very expensive and I defend it fiercely. In short I would not want people to mistreat it. At the moment there are 6 songs.

Q: What is the latest news about Suzy? Are there programmed schedules for you?

A: Houlala! You took me by surprise there. My schedule is very busy, but then I risk giving false dates because I do not have control yet. Otherwise, a lot of doors have been opened to me through the big sister Nicole Mara.

I was able to discuss with Chinese Yangeu who spoke to me about upcoming events this December, there is also Armand Nlend, Guy Bato and more. I will also make some other appearances so don't worry dear fans, I'm not over yet. I just had to fall back in order to take a bigger jump.

Q: You are primarily a woman in uniform. How do you pair your career as an artiste with your work?

A: Suzy the ‘Untouchable’ is not ashamed of her function as a Military person. Yes, I am a woman dressed for jet aircraft but I love my job because it is through that I am able to cater for my family. My children are in school and I get to make ends meet.

Q: Let me cut you short, where did you get the passion for music?

A: I got there; precisely music is a passion for me. I grew up in music and for the record; my dad was a highly respected musician. For those who experienced the fire NTONE Bernard, he sang in the Police Orchestra. It was from him that I hold this wonderful gift.

Q: Talking about your album, are there other collaborations aside Nicole Mara?

A: Yes, I told you that I was with the Chinese on Tam Tam Weekend tray. Nicole Mara was together with Teeyah, so I hope to have a collaborative album that includes Zouk, an area that Teerah masters perfectly. A collaboration with her will be a delight.
