Recently, the U.S. Embassy welcomed renowned Cameroonian musician Richard Kings, who was met by Public Affairs Officer Roberto Quiroz II and Medical Attaché James Fulton.

Mr. Kings was the guest performer at a farewell ceremony for Mr. Fulton hosted by U.S. Embassy staff.

During their meeting, Mr. Quiroz and Mr. Fulton lauded Mr. Kings talent as “inspirational to Cameroonian youth,” adding that “you are an example of the extraordinary and abundant talent found right here in Cameroon. The youth have in you an example to admire because your message is that culture is identity.

Your music reminds Cameroonians of how essential it is to preserve and cherish their diverse and unique heritage, traditions, and values as this nation also moves forward towards building a future of peace and prosperity for all citizens through their own immense talents and contributions, especially those from women and girls.”

Mr. Kings observed that he has traveled throughout the world to bring Cameroonian music to members from the diaspora and foreign audiences.

“From performing at the United Nations, Las Vegas, Dallas, Europe, and all across Cameroon, I have been honored to offer a message of peace and unity through music and entertainment,” he said.
