Wedding Planning: key actors give visibility

Yaounde Marriage Exhibition Yaounde Marriage Exhibition

To the organiser of the event, a decorator, Edwige Essomba, the forum to last till 30th October 2016 is intended to link up service providers (wedding planners/organisers) to the potential clients.

She explained that a stress-free wedding is possible if all those involved form a perfect partnership.

The exhibition has as dominant colours, red, white, pink, purple and orange which are just examples of good theme colours for weddings.

Though some stands are still to be occupied, some exhibitors have already put up important marriage components like cakes, make-up, jewelry, shoes, gowns and decorations.

Regina Asanga, CEO of Fairy’s Touch Cakes is one of those who have stood the test of time in doing cakes for weddings. She says it is a source of livelihood.

Regina expressed her excitement with the present exhibition hoping it will increase her visibility and cause her move from a home-based business to a more professional one.

Also present at SAMAY are wedding planners ready to direct customers on how to go about their weddings.

The make-up section of the grounds not only contains make-up ideas for the wedding day but also facial treatments to be used several weeks before the D-day.

The exhibitors have also given some African touch to the grounds, with earrings, necklaces, bracelets, watches, cufflinks and purses made of African fabric, sold in pairs for “him and her”.

The organisers and exhibitors are optimistic that visitor traffic will increase in the days ahead since this is the first time such an exhibition is being organised.
