Lack of planning: A killer bug to success (Part 2)

Lack of planning is one of the biggest killer bugs to success and the reason why people fail to make progress in life. Many have hopes, aspirations, vision and dreams but fail to plan on how to achieve those dreams by putting them into action.

A good plan is like a road map: it shows the final destination and usually the best way to get there. H. Stanley Judd

Nobody gets to his destiny without planning for it. Planning is crucial in the quest for success and until one is able to engage in the act of planning, he will never become successful in life. It is therefore possible to suggest that, planning is one of the most important antidotes against the killer- bugs of success. Most people do not plan for success and when failure knocks at the door, they ask why they failed.

A life void of planning is a life destined for failure. Whatever you want to achieve in life, it is very vital that, you take the capsule of planning daily to boost your immune system of success against the killer bugs. Planning is the process of taking relevant steps and actions to achieve some specific goals, dream, purpose, tasks or agenda.

Planning helps an individual to perform effectively, reduce waste of time, and enables the individual to succeed regardless of undue pressure that may be at hand. You can never travel on the journey of success without having the journey map to follow to that destination.

This is why planning is very important. It is the very road map you need to get to the destination of success. This is the more reason planning is needed in every organization desiring to succeed in business, ministry, family, relationship, education, and many others. For example; a company that has planning as its core agenda, is able to manage the resources at hand effectively and deplore its personnel appropriately to maximize the production level of that business or company. This goes a long way to reduce idleness, waste of time and low morale or motivation among staff and managers

Lack of Planning prevents clear decision making, prevents focusing and guidelines on how success can be achieved within a short period of time. Most people also fail in life because, they do not have full control over the task they are dealing with in life and that frustrates them make them give up on their dreams.

A family that fails to plan regarding the number of children they want to have within a period of time, will end up giving birth to so many children without having the resources to look after the children. This why in Public Health and Family planning, parents are advised to plan for the number of children they are intending to have to prevent health risks or complications in the future.

Family planning reduces health risks to women and gives them more control over their reproductive lives. With better health and greater control over their lives, women can take advantage of education, employment and civic opportunities. Families with fewer children are often able to send those children to school so girls get a chance to attain higher education, and as an outcome, the age of their first marriage is often later and their years of fertility reduced. They also benefit from being employees.

In addition, it is not difficult for parents to clothe and feed their children if they can limit their family size. The expenses that they need to care for a small-sized family will be less, so they can save more and be self-sufficient. With regard to social services, both the government and the family invest less if the family and population size is small. This can help save essential resources and thereby contribute to the economic growth of the nation as a whole (OpenLearn Works in spring 2014).

Planning therefore enables us to set goals and achieve them within a short period of time, building self-confidence, raising self-awareness, promoting the quality of life and helping to overcome killer bugs of success such as disappointment and discouragement. Plan, plan and plan for where you are going in order to prevent failure in life. If you avoid planning you can’t avoid Failing: Ferdinard Lawso
