Letter from Yaounde to Buea

Dear Mbella,

I am completely devastated, I mean melancholy-stricken by the shocking exit of the Prince of Lewoh. After his artillery pen fire served social justice for many decades, the Prince closed his eyes forever to this sinful world.

He seems to have said, like Dele Giwa that “death is good, after all what is here on this sinful world?” He left a legacy as a genuine intellectual who took sides with the oppressed.

Michael was an acerbic anti-establishment critic whose irate ink went berserk on the pages of newspapers in the country. He was prolific and pondered deeply on issues of National Interest.

Many people believe that he was not a true Cameroonian. Even when he fell out with those who are passing around as the flagbearers of the left, he did not swing to the right where “bellitics” is usually gratified.

When it came to issues of public interest, he would hit the facts on the head without bordering whose ox is gored in the process. He quit the stage like a good actor because ovation for him was loudest.

Dear Mola, care not about the tongue-wagging. Of course, you know it so well that in Africa, no one dies for nothing. That is why there is talk that someone might have given our Prof. “maggi”, that an enemy would have paid the Prince’s transport to hereafter.

See you, the drumbeat was loudest at the Comnyada hill the other day when she was tethered like a goat to eat from the proceeds. But what is that swift reconciliation with the man who sentenced her father to die in exile? It is so strange that I am afraid one of the two parties is not sincere in the reconciliation. It could just be a situation of “Je l’embrasse maintenant pour l’etouffer”.

Lest I forget, the white collar thieves are now preparing to grab and grab. The immunity thing will not work because it would just have given a blank cheque for the members of the Cabal to steal from the people.

I hear nemesis is catching up with the baby soapboxer. It is dangerous for him to be courting the attention of watchdogs now. He does not sound like the educated person that he claims to be. At best, he sounds like an academic hollow man who does not care a damn about societal decorum.

If I had French nationality, I will be sure of my release if they take me to the dudgeon for some controversial reasons. It is worth emulating because of the pressure from across the borders. Lydie, Thierry, among others, know the joy of leaving the cell with all honour because Elysee has spoken.

But, why was MRC mute about the controversial Code? Which leader ate fat from the elaboration of the Penal Code? You see, it is only good to oppose a certain situation when there is no gain there for you.

It is all a game of interest.I wonder why Amué still believes that he can survive the Ministerial storm. Why was he eating the bribe of awulf alone? Look at what that boy did to him.

He took over FCFA 100 million bribe from the foreign firm on the big man’s behalf. He put everything in his account and told the Minister to go to hell. The thing is eating up the Minister but he cannot do anything because it is part of his corruption network.

The middleman credited his account with the huge sum. But, he should be careful because he has enemies on both sides. They cannot use a legal means to get him. They can use other means to grab the feyman.

I hear Ministerial heads will roll soon for the rooms in Kondengui to be occupied by their real owners. People have gone ahead naming names, but I would like to wait and see.

Yours Sincerely,

Ngwa
