The founder of the Nanbudo discipline is in Cameroon for a weeklong international internship. Cameroon, second homeland of the Japanese martial art master Doshu Soke Yoshinao Nanbu, founder of nanbudo, coordinates its 22nd international internship in Cameroon. His first internship dates as far back as 1982.
Since 14 August, master Nanbu, absent in 2013, presented new techniques to this discipline, constantly evolving, to enhance the capacity of practitioners. For example, his latest finding, sotai-randori which is a fight with rear dodges.
The launch of the training course was held in Limbe, in the presence of 200 nanbudokas, at the edge of the Atlantic ocean. A choice that is geared toward the practice of nanbudo, art which develops the human energy, and thus is recommended in nature.
"Climate is soothing and better to receive or transmit the values of this discipline," says Me François Mbassi, president of the Cameroonian Federation of nanbudo. Since Monday, master Nanbu met practitioners in Douala for the toughest sessions, tailored to the various grades.
The closing of this 22nd international internship is scheduled to take place this Saturday, August 23 at the Palais des sports of Yaounde with a tournament called 'Cut Nanbu'.
