52 militants of the CPDM in Mayo-Rey are admitted to the emergency department of the regional hospital in Garoua.

The large CPDM rally scheduled on Sunday in Garoua to support the candidacy of Paul Biya in the next presidential election will certainly not have the same enthusiasm as the elites of the North region had planned.

Left from Mayo Rey to support the First Vice President of the Senate, Aboubakari Abdoulaye, who is to chair this great rally on Sunday, February 28, 2016, the vehicle carrying the militants of the CPDM began its journey around 9:30 PM in the bush within 7 kilometers from the city of Garoua.

According to the road gendarmerie squad of Garoua, the accident left 52 injured and 4 are in serious condition with crushed legs. According to the first elements of the investigation, the tactlessness of the vehicle driver is the cause of this accident. The police said that the driver fled even moments after the accident.

Despite this unfortunate incident, the barons of the torch party in the northern region have maintained the holding of the meeting: “President Ahidjo native of Garoua supported Paul Biya, by giving him power.

The North will always continue to support him and it is for this reason that the internal and external elites will gather on Sunday, February 28 in Garoua to invite President Paul Biya to stand for the next presidential election, “notes a Section President of CPDM.
