The National Chairman of the Social Democratic Front, SDF, Ni John Fru Ndi has called on his party supporters and registered voters in Cameroon as a whole to collect their cards in order to perform their civic responsibility of electing Members of the National Assembly and municipal councilors in the September 30, 2013 twin elections. The SDF National Secretary for Communication, Beatrice Annembom Monju disclosed the information, stating that the appeal is contained in a circular signed by party Chairman, Fru Ndi.

SDF lawyers, Beatrice Annembom also said, have been meeting to put in place best strategies of defending the party's petitions filed to the Supreme Court acting as the Constitutional Council and the Administrative Bench of the Supreme Court relating to the rejection of its candidacy lists in the legislative and municipal elections respectively. The rulings by the two competent courts on the petitions are to take place before mid next week.

Concerning campaign strategies, the SDF National Secretary for Communication said the party is working underground, first of all to reconcile itself. The party has also engaged in underground campaign, she further said. All these are being done while waiting for the rulings on petitions. After the Constitutional Council and the Administrative Bench of the Supreme Court must have ruled on the petitions, the SDF executive and ruling organ, National Executive Committee, NEC, will meet to finalise its campaign strategies.
