UPC National Executives formed

The Secretary-General of the Union of the People of Cameroon, UPC, Louka Basile and the President of the Steering Committee, Onana Victor voted during the UPC unitary congress of June 6-7, 2014 in Yaounde, have formed the entire executive bureau of the party.

After their election, the two senior officials were assigned to form the entire executive bureau for the party to function normally.

The Press Officer of UPC, Samuel Mbon told Cameroon Tribune that the new executive bureau members will meet in Yaounde on July 19, 2014 to prepare for their upcoming validation by the Steering Committee on Saturday, July 26, 2014.

The Steering Committee of the party will be made up of the 352 representatives from the 72 Sections of the UPC who took part in the election of the Secretary-General and President of the Steering Committee during the Yaounde congress last June.

The executive bureau of the UPC is made up of four Vice Presidents, delegates in charge of five specialized areas as well as Finance Controller and Political Advisers, all working under the President.

There are also secretaries in charge of Organization, Propaganda and Communication, Mobilisation of Finances, Economic Affairs, Youths, Political Education and Administrative Coordination, working under the General Secretariat.
