A woman who had suffered the pains of barrenness for a couple of years after her marriage has finally delivered four children at once at a private clinic in Douala.
They were all delivered through artificial insemination in a private clinic in Douala directed by a senior Gynecologist Dr. Simo Andre.
She can now experience the pleasure of motherhood with her four newly births who all strike a balance at the level of gender.
Dr Simo Andre states that the two boys and girls are all doing fine with their mother. Their weights range between 1.9 and 2.05. This is the fifth time a case of artificial insemination is being registered in this same clinic.
This form of medical technique had existed in Cameroon since 1997. Artificial insemination is a technique that can help treat certain kinds of infertility in both men and women.
In this procedure, sperms are inserted directly into a woman's cervix, fallopian tubes, or uterus. This makes the trip shorter for the sperm and bypasses any possible obstructions. Ideally, it makes pregnancy possible where it wasn't before.
