Bangou community mourns its Mayor, Rosette Boutchouang

Rosette Boutchouang, Mayor of Bangou, mother of chantal Biya and mother-in law of Paul Biya recently died in South Africa.

Since the announcement of this sad news by the civil cabinet of the Presidency, the Bangou community is in mourning. On Sunday, October 5, Bangou had not yet recovered from the shock of the announcement of this news as the city was deserted.

The Town Hall is closed, five days after the official announcement of the death of the Mayor, no release was made on the Bulletin Board. The forestry Chief noted that "it's a feeling of sadness that has over taken us. We are shocked by the death of our Mayor. She was also our mother"

Bangou is in mourning, the village has lost its Mayor, mother, wife and especially Queen Mother. The alert was given and the instructions are strict: it is forbidden to cut a leave or go to farm.

As Queen Mother, she belongs to the Chieftainship, and logically, she should be buried in the chiefdom. 'She was our woman; we will organize her funeral following our habits and customs in accordance with the in-laws'.
