Business geniuses emerge after training

Some 45 business geniuses have been produced east of the Mungo; increasing the hope for the improvement of Cameroon’s slacking economy.

The PKFOKAM Business Excellence Academy, BEA graduated the professionals into the domains of Banking, Risk Management and Insurance.

The laureates, who had been intensively trained for six months since April 2014, are the third batch of laureates from BEA, after the joint graduation of the first two batches last year.

The laureates, most of whom were already employees before training, comprised of nationals from Benin, Equatorial Guinea, Niger, Congo DRC and Cameroon.

Speaking during the graduation ceremony, the Dean of the Business Academy, Prof Njini remarked that, having graduated 90 students in the first two batches, the number this semester is an attestation of the relevance and recognition of the programme; adding that those who can, should not miss the great empowerment opportunity.

The excellent and outstanding students were encouraged with prizes. Each best student in a discipline was awarded a cash prize of FCFA 500,000, while the overall best was awarded FCFA 1 million.

The overall best student, Ghislaine Guiawa Ngatcheussi, told The Post that her secret has been the determination to be in the lead, hard work and her reliance on God.

Other prize winners included Emmanuel Mveng and Bertuol Nana for Risk Management and Insurance, respectively, among others.

According to a press kit, BEA is aimed at ensuring the amelioration of output in the business world within and without Cameroon by studying cases and helping enterprises solve problems that limit output through intensive professional training.

The Rector of PKFOKAM Institute of Excellence encouraged those whose enterprises have needs to make use of BEA in their quest to find solutions to their challenges.

On behalf of his colleagues, the students’ representative during the diploma awards ceremony, boasted that they are the best and that they are ready to go out and make strides. He commended the team spirit and cooperation among his colleagues which, to him, has contributed greatly to their brilliant success.

Of the 45 graduates, two graduated in the A grade, 21 in B, and 22 in the C. The business programme that is offered by PKFOKAM Institute of Excellence, is open to those already working and to university students. It offers other programmes such as; Human Resource Management, Finance and Accounting, Project Management, Marketing and Micro Finance, among others.

Unique about BEA is the complete assurance of a job for non-employees after training, the availability of sophisticated technology during training to suit adaptation in the working world, and a follow up system to verify the level of impact created during the training.
