The Minister of Public Works, Patrick Ambassala has reassured Chinese workers of security at the Mora-Dibanga road construction site of the Far North region.
He was speaking during a meeting with the freed Chinese road construction workers who were captured some four months ago in the Far North region by the insurgent terrorist group, Boko Haram.
The 5% remaining rehabilitation work on the close to 132km road which initially programmed to be completed after 28 days was suspended by the Chino-Hydro company in charge of construction following the incident.
The condition given to resume duties was the recovery of the kidnapped workers.
The Minister of Public Works said security has been tightened at the construction site and that work can now resume since the workers have been released.
The construction of the Mora-Dibanga road which is close to 39 billion CFAF, has been financed by the World Bank and the Cameroon government.
