Cameroonians from different political and religious chapels were present during a meeting organized by the CPDM activities Coordinator in the Littoral, Thomas Tobbo Eyoum.
This meeting was organised to give their support to the president of the Republic in combating Boko Haram, and show their solidarity to the soldiers who fight for peace and the integrity of our country.
Representatives from each community in the Littoral, priests, pastors, imams, etc took turns at the rostrum to call for peace. In his welcoming remarks, the Mayor of the Douala 1municipality, Jean-Jacques Lengue Malapa, noted that we are all concerned by what is happening in the northern part, and that active solidarity is necessary.
Bassa Mpoo Bati, represented by Manjombe Moussima, placed emphasis on patriotism. The northern part, through Abbas Fadil, focused on peace and love for neighbour advocated by Islam and not war. "Give information that could help the enemy", he recommended.
The Centre (Centre, South, East), represented by His Majesty, Beliby Ndzana, top chef of the Beti in the littoral prescribed the mobilization against said that betrayal will not come from them. Politicians such as Moselli Njebayi, Banda Kani, Fritz Ngo, and Sawa traditional leaders were also part the meeting. For Banda Kani, the followers of Boko Haram have made the wrong choice in attacking a country chosen by the Lord.
To close, Françoise Foning and Thomas Tobbo Eyoum, in turn, manifested their commitment to the various decisions taken by the head of State and asked the people of Douala to support these actions of the leader, for the victory against the enemy. Shortly before the speech, a prayer was addressed to the Almighty for peace in Cameroon.
