Explosion of a domestic gas warehouse puts fear in Etoudi

Great fear raged in the Etoudi in Yaoundé on Saturday, November 22, 2014, after a huge explosion in a domestic gas warehouse located at a place called Makombe.

The detonation was so strong that the population of this part of the political capital plunged into panic.

The police and the fire brigade are currently mobilized on the scene to bring back serenity. The extent of the damage and the losses are still to be determined.

Etoudi neighborhood in the northern outskirts of Yaoundé, has great reputation due to the fact that it is home to the Presidential Palace, a palace which has Paul Biya as a tenant for three decades.
