Fire Renders 15 Kumba Families Homeless

Some 15 families members have been rendered homeless in Kossala III in Fiango Kumba following a fire disaster over the weekend.

The six-room wooden house was razed to ashes in the absence of most of the occupants. All attempts by neighbours to put off the fire failed. The general damage caused has been estimated at over FCFA 8 million. No human casualties were recorded. It should be noted that this is the fourth fire incident in Kumba within six months. The fire is said to have started from poor electricity connections on the house meter.
