The incident occurred on Sunday 9th October 2016 in the Morning.
The principal of the school Ndile Denis recounts that the source of the fire is unknown.
He added that the incident occurred 25 minutes after having employed a plumber and electrician to check out the problem of water shortage in the school borehole. The borehole normally needs electricity connectivity to function.
From the electrician's findings, the water shortage came as a result of a bad metal that had to be replaced.
Shortly after the discovery the principal could only receive a call to hear that fire is wrecking his school. He immediately alerted Fire fighters, who put the situation into control.
No life was lost but some classrooms including stationery and benches were burnt to rubble a loss worth about 5million FCFA.
Some inhabitants around the neighbourhood where the school is situated exclaimed that even though great damage has been incurred, the lives of at most 500 students who are registered in the school have been spared given that the incident did not occur on a School Day.
