Guinness CMR finances construction of drinking water points

The brewing company Guinness Cameroon, the local subsidiary of Diageo, signed October 8, 2014, with non-governmental organizations and international institutions, partnership agreements for the construction of water points in regions such as Littoral , West, Northwest, Southwest and Far North of Cameroon.

Organizations responsible for implementing the projects funded by the brewing operator at 120 million CFA francs, are Heart of Africa, the foundation of the famous Cameroonian footballer Roger Milla; Zusammenarbeit International; GIZ and Water Collective.

According to Guinness Cameroon, these projects are part of the "Water of Life" project launched by Diageo in 2006, which, each year allows one million Africans have access to clean water.

In this regard, we learnt that more than 200 projects to build water points have already been made in 18 countries of the African continent.
