He was speaking in Abong Mbang during a working visit to the region. The Gendarmerie boss said the peace and security in the region is a result of the effective collaboration between the local population, traditional authorities, forces of law and order and administrative authorities.
Jean Baptiste Bokam said government has invested substantially in vehicles, motorcycles and human resources to combat all forms of aggression against the peace and security of the country.
He called on the populations to collaborate with and report any suspicious moves to administrative authorities and forces of law and order.
He called for more vigilance amongst the population, the vigilante groups and forces of law and order to check the resurgence of crime.
