Students with outstanding results in end-of-year class examinations from Lycée Joss, Douala, were all smiles on July 2, 2015, after receiving prizes at the 2014-2015 Excellence Award ceremony.
Melouh Mgbe Martne, who scored 17.5 on 20 in the First Cycle, received school material while Mbangue Lobe Yith Constantin, with a score of 14.9 on 20 in the Second Cycle, also received school material and special prizes from school partners.
Two best students in each class (Form One to Upper Sixth), the best teacher and administrative staff, were rewarded for their hard work and outstanding performance. Prizes were also handed to students who scored highest marks in subjects like French and English languages and Mathematics, while a dozen other students received encouragement prizes.
During the ceremony dubbed “Excellence Award,” the Principal of Lycée Joss, Jean Kouny and the Divisional Officer for Douala I, Jean-Marc Ekoa Mbarga, congratulated the winners and encouraged weak students to work harder. Around to encourage the students was Littoral’s Regional Delegate of Secondary Education, Emile Yomkil.
