Man drowns with tug at Douala Port

A man called Agbor Tanyi has drowned with a tug at Douala Port. According to our source, the body of Agbor Tanyi navigator of a tug at the Douala Port was removed yesterday March 9.

According to our source at the port, the boat which the deceased was controlling sank under the effect of a strong current. Two members of the crew, Pernesse Tidjouo Kamta and Martial Manke Mbangue were recovered on the same the day by the relief agents and the security apparatus that was set up.

According to our sources, they were led to the business medical center in Douala and later returned to their respective homes after a medical check-up.

From the same sources, an expert from the Africa Marine Survey (Ams) sent to the scene has already established its preliminary report and a commission of inquiry is at work to ascertain the root cause of the occurrence.
