Batibo sub-division has come a long way from despair to joy and hope since October 2nd, 2015 when their wife, Mbah Acha Rose Fomundam was appointed Minister Delegate at the Presidency in charge of Supreme State Control. It was against this back drop that the entire Momo Division spent December 18th and 19th, 2015 celebrating their illustrious daughter who inspires hope in the ruling CPDM government of President Paul Biya. Celebrations took her to Widikum, Batibo and Mbengwi where crowd puller events demonstrated gratitude with messages that commit Momo Division to stand solidly by President Paul Biya to sustain leadership and take Momo and Cameroon to glory. The message was clear in speeches, songs and dances. “Tell President Biya that Momo has stepped forward with baskets in appreciation and will continue to show support for the President whose Presidential Decrees always favour Momo”.
It was eventful and the dimension was evident with over 2OO.000 social and traditional dance groups. The Minister of State Property, Surveys and Land Tenure, Jacqueline Koung A Bessike, Communication Minister, Issa Tchiroma Bakary, Minister Delegate in charge of the Budget in MINFI, Elung Paul Che, Minister Delegate in the MINADER, Ananga Messina, Director of Cabinet in the P.M’s Office, Dr Ghogomu Paul and Governor Adolphe Lele Lafrique accompanied Minister Mbah Acha Rose to the land of her ancestors where there was enough to show in traditional blessings, titles, prayers and gifts for the one they said is their pride, pathfinder and their 21st century role model. Widikum, home of her grandfathers set the tone when inhabitants recognized that it was time to keep aside petition writing and political squabbles to stand by Minister Mbah Acha Rose for progress. Mobilization was total in Batibo where the Minister revisited good old days as a pupil in G.S Nyenjei. It was a full house of elite, traditional rulers and Moghamo people that filed out to celebrate the Minister.
Mbengwi dropped curtains on the event with a lot more to offer. In one lump sum, it was a rare moment for Momo division and the Minister took time off to appreciate the impressive support. She inspired the population to give love and peace a chance, plus support for the government in Cameroon’s commitment to emerge in 2035. She encouraged youths to focus on education and gave women an opportunity to sound off with their sister and daughter given the chance to demonstrate motherly and leadership qualities, inbuilt in women. The event had a lot of colour with Mayors, elite, CPDM officials, Queen mothers and traditional leaders featuring gifts and libation.
Minister Mbah Acha also retired from Momo with requests for the government to disenclave the division with more feeder roads, extension of electricity, a Faculty of the State University of Bamenda and administration closer to the people with new administrative units.
