Representatives of Communes and United Cities of Cmr meet in Yaounde

Few weeks after the renewal of the regional offices of the association of municipalities and United towns of Cameroon (UCCC), a training session recently took place for members at a forum in Yaoundé.

It should be noted that on the ten regional representations in the structure directed by Emile Andze Andze, and Mayor of the municipality of Yaoundé 1 on the other hand, the renewal at the head of these structures is currently at 70%.

It is therefore the concern of the national office to train and equip participants including departmental representatives on their role within the UCCC association.

The meeting which ended yesterday in Yaoundé, has the breakdown on the strategic plan for 2014-2018 of the association.

As expected, members of the Uccc, who are not newcomers in the municipal environment in Cameroon, also addressed some problems related to the implementation of the decentralization process in Cameroon.

In accordance with the provisions laid down, they wished to see at least 5% of the national resources allocated to the development of the decentralized territorial communities, which in their opinion, should facilitate the development of Cameroon and its market towards emergence.

On this point, Emile Andze Andze must continue to advocate for the competent authorities in this matter with a view on taking account of these expectations
