Messamena — The inhabitants of Messamena joined the rest of the nation on Tuesday to celebrate President Paul Biya's 30 years in office.
Speaking on the occasion Penne Robert representing the Central Committee delegate, Benjamin Ama Ama on official assignment out of the country, painted a positive balance sheet of President Biya's tenure of office enumerating the various socio-economic and political achievements made by Cameroon under President Biya's stewardship.
the president of CPDM Upper Nyong North west section, Modeste Meukeum, expressed the gratitude of the people following the tarring of the Ayos-Bonis road and laying the foundation stone for the construction of a hydro-electrical dam in Lom Pangar. Various orators including Massa Massa George, Simon Pierre Biye and Prince Moantam, showered praises on the CPDM regime and to the party chairman, Paul Biya, for leading Cameroon towards emergence. President Biya was also credited for the peace and stability that reigns in Cameroon.
As a sign of gratitude, the people of the Upper Nyong vowed to remain loyal to the CPDM and its leader, President Paul Biya and promised to give the CPDM a landslide victory in the area in the upcoming municipal and legislative elections. To match words with actions, over 200 people registered on the spot on the electoral register while promising more registrations in the days ahead as the biometric registration of voters continue. A magazine tracing the highlights of President Biya's 30 years in office was published on the occasion and freely distributed to the inhabitants of the area.
